International Webinar – Agenda Setting for Nigeria’s Indigenous Maritime Trade: The 50-Year Plan

This is the International Webinar on Agenda Setting for Nigeria’s Indigenous Maritime Trade: The 50-Year Plan held September 4, 2025. The keynote speaker was Prof. Nick White of Liverpool John Moores University Centre for Port and Maritime History. Other speakers were Dr. Edmund Chilaka, Director of the International Centre for Indigenous Maritime Trade, Mr. Dami Osinuga of DOLP Lagos Nigeria, Capt. Sunday Umoren of Abuja MoU, Engr. Bob Alfa, the last Managing Director of the Nigerian National Shipping Line, and Don Ibe who works for the Nigerian Navy Office, with Prof. David Aworawo of the University of Lagos as the Rapporteur.
